Book Club

All are welcome to join us at the Athenaeum

on Tuesday, April 3rd at 1:30pm, we will discuss A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles.

On Tuesday, May 1st at 1:30pm, we will discuss Switched On: A Memoir of Brain Change & Emotional Awakening by John Elder Robison.

We meet at 1:30pm on the first Tuesday of the month to discuss the book over tea/coffee and make our selection for the following month. Even if you haven't read that month's book, consider attending to give input when selecting the next book.

Regular attendance is anywhere between 6 and 16 people. We generally wrap up by 2:45 or 3pm. We read fiction and non-fiction.

Here are a few that we've read over the years:

  • Scribbling the Cat: Travels with an African Soldier by Alexandra Fuller
  • Mudbound by Hillary Jordan
  • The Piano Tuner by Daniel Mason
  • Out Stealing Horses by Per Petterson
  • The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

The whole collection is available in our Book Club section.
