The Becket Athenaeum offers e-books, digital audiobooks, magazines*, and video content*! Use your tablet, smartphone, or computer to enjoy digital content.

Like regular library materials, electronic resources are checked out for a period of time. When they are due back, they simply leave your device and become available for the next interested patron. Also like other library materials, there are a limited number of digital copies of any given item at a time.

Our patrons have access to eight different library network collections: Boston, CLAMS, C/W Mars, Merrimack Valley, Minuteman, NOBLE, Old Colony, and SAILS*. Each library network has their own collection so an item that is not available from one, may be available from another. We recommend adding SAILS* and at least one other library network to your device.

To get started, see below!

Many of our patron accounts expired at the end of 2019. In order to gain access to our catalog, including Libby and Overdrive, you will need to update your contact information by calling, emailing, or stopping in.

If you're new to e-books and need help, bring your device with you to the library and we'll help you get set up to take advantage of our vast collection!

<IMPORTANT> To proceed, you will need to know your library card number and password associated with your account. The password is set to the last four digits of your library card number unless you have changed it when accessing our
catalog on MassCat. If your library card number begins with 2747, you don't know your card number, or are having issues, contact us.

The apps needed to access this digital content are OverDrive or Libby. Libby is the streamlined OverDrive app but is not yet available on Kindle. Instructions for each app, including computer instructions and how to use Libby and Kindle together, are available by clicking on the logos below.
