As part of their community outreach, Berkshire Health Systems is partnering with local libraries to host a community read of Being Mortal by Atul Gawande. Topics like aging, serious illness, and end-of-life care are often faced in isolation. This book offers a thoughtful way to open that conversation and bring the community together around it. A Nurse Practitioner from BHS Palliative Care Team will be joining us at the library to share perspective and local resources connected to the work and themes of the book.
