Revolution in America: Past, Present, Future with Senator Paul Mark

  • Becket Athenaeum 3367 Main Street Becket, MA, 01223 United States (map)

Join us for a screening of an excerpt reel from the recent PBS documentary, The American Revolution, followed by a discussion about what it means to be revolutionary moderated by Senator Paul Mark. We invite participants to consider the questions: “What does revolution mean to you?” and “Is there an historical figure, a musician, an author, an artist, a leader, etc who epitomizes a spirit of revolution in your opinion?” Attendees are welcome to bring their thoughts or any examples of work, art, writing, music, etc. around these questions that they might want to share. We look forward to a rich and respectful discussion!

Refreshments will be served.

In 2010, Paul Mark was elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives to serve the 2nd Berkshire district and in 2022, was elected to serve the 57 Cities and Towns that make up the Berkshire, Hampden, Franklin, and Hampshire District in the Massachusetts State Senate. Since taking office, Paul has been an outspoken champion and strong advocate for progressive, working class issues.
