“Tend: Exploring Mindful-Driven Advocacy” Fireside Book Discussion with Dr. Matthew Camp

  • Becket Athenaeum 3367 Main Street Becket, MA, 01223 United States (map)
Tend: Exploring Mindful-Driven Advocacy by Dr. Matthew Camp

In this interactive book discussion and workshop, Dr. Matthew Camp will draw from chapters of his book, Tend, to explore the field of mindful-driven advocacy. Participants will help build and light a fire on the library’s lawn. Dr. Camp will lead participants in combining the fire-building process with concepts of mindfulness and political advocacy. Drawing from experiences in the wilderness, yoga, meditation, and two decades in politics, Dr. Camp approaches the often stern worlds of Zen and politics with a lightheartedness that allows readers and participants to steadily deepen their engagement.

Refreshments will be provided! Lawn chairs/blankets are welcome.
