Meet Libby The One-Tap Reading App From Your Library.png

Libby App Instructions:

  1. On the device you plan to use to read or listen to digital content, download Libby, by OverDrive from your app store & open it

  2. Use “Search For A Library” to look up your Home Library OR try “Yes, Guess My Library” and the app will attempt to locate your closest library to you.

  3. Select CW MARS

  4. Click “Sign In With My Card”

  5. Login: library card number

  6. Pin: last four digits of your phone number (unless you changed it when accessing our catalog)

  7. Tap “Next”

  8. Now you’re ready to search for items to borrow by tapping on the magnifying glass in the bottom menu & typing the title or author

  9. If the item is available, tap on “Borrow.”

  10. Tap on “days” to select the loan period. Some networks allow 7, 14, or 21 day loan period.

  11. Tap “Borrow”

  12. Expand your access to digital items with 7 additional library networks!

    When you add your C/W MARS card to the app, rather than having to manually add the other networks (like CLAMS, SAILS, etc), you will now see Partner Libraries listed below Your Libraries (tap the Libby symbol in the bottom menu to access this page). When you search the collection, whichever network has the soonest available copy will have its card listed on the title, but you will still have the option to select the specific network you’d like to borrow from.

Setting up Libby on another device:

If you're already using Libby on one device, you can use a setup code to easily copy your library cards, loans, holds, and tags in Libby to another device. Instructions are here.

Reading on Kindle:

You can download the Libby app on your Amazon Fire Tablet following the instructions on this page.
If you would like to read on a different Kindle device or app, you can set your Libby preference to Kindle and then send the title through your Amazon account. More information on borrowing Kindle books available here.

Libby Computer Instructions:

If you prefer to use your computer (rather than a smart phone or tablet) to read ebooks or listen to e-audiobooks, go to libbyapp.com/library/cwmars in your browser and follow the Libby App Instructions.
