Established in 1888, the Becket Athenaeum's mission is:

  • To inspire lifelong learning; 
  • To foster relaxation and enjoyment through our collection and programs; and 
  • To cultivate a spirit of community.

While we are much more than a typical library, we do offer a diverse, current collection of both fiction and non-fiction book, magazines, books on CDs, DVDs. 

We provide a number of passes to local museumsso you can experience the rich culture this area has to offer.

We have 8 public computers, 2 iPads, free wi-fi in and outside the building and a litany of free services and programs.

SATURDAY: 10:00am-4:00pm
